My volunteer service to the Smithsonian is gratis. I agree that the Smithsonian may use my name, likeness, voice, statements, data collected, and images for any educational, promotional, archival, or any other standard museum purpose in any media whatsoever. I shall ensure that my conduct as a volunteer does not compromise the integrity of, or public confidence in, the Smithsonian. I agree that my service may be modified or terminated by Smithsonian staff at any time without cause or notice. I waive any compensation from the Smithsonian and United States for services I perform as a volunteer. My volunteer work will not entitle me to employment at the Smithsonian or to benefits (e.g. service credit for leave) available to Smithsonian employees. The foregoing waiver does not purport to compromise any rights I may have under the Federal Employee's Compensation Act, the Federal Tort Claims Act, or the Volunteer Protection Act of 1997.
