I joined SERC in May 2023 as the Participatory Science Coordinator and am responsible for developing and coordinating SERC’s participatory science program. In this context, “participatory science” refers to the SERC programs in which SERC staff work with volunteers, students, and community members work to do scientific research. By collaborating with educators, volunteers, interns, students, and researchers I support SERC’s mission to create knowledge that ultimately helps us meet today’s pressing environmental challenges.
