Michael is the data coordinator for MarineGEO, based out of the Smithsonian Environmental Research Center. He leads the development of MarineGEO's data system to ensure that MarineGEO data is high-quality, accessible, and reusable for MarineGEO partners and the public. Michael is excited to be able to develop workflows and tools, such as web-based interactive applications, that integrate the diverse range of data collected across MarineGEO observatories, including near real-time sensor data and ecological and environmental surveys. Michael obtained his MA in Environmental and Ecological Anthropology from the University of Georgia in 2018.
