As the leader of the Office of Advancement, Cole is responsible for securing private donations from individuals, corporations and foundations to support SERC's work. 

Cole has been with the Smithsonian since 2015.  She has held several senior fundraising roles with the Smithsonian Science Education Center and the National Zoo Conservation Biology Institute. With over 25 years of professional fundraising experience, Cole has a proven track record of developing and deploying strategic fundraising plans and a special gift for building lasting donor relationships and connecting prospects with programs that reflect their interests.
