Amanda Reynolds is member of the National Ballast Information Clearinghouse, a joint program between the Smithsonian Environmental Research Center and the U.S Coast Guard designed to inform Congress about the impacts of commercial shipping on coastal marine invasive species.  In addition, Amanda is the head technician of the Coastal Ocean Acidification Laboratory at SERC, a lab dedicated to characterizing the carbonate chemistry dynamics in coastal ecosystems and understanding their effects on local biota.
